I'm Back!!!

Wow, it has been quite some time. My life has been an absolute whirlwind in the past few weeks as I've had to wrap things up at my job, pack everything up and move up the east coast. I have really been wanting to share some photos of my new condo, but between painting and waiting for furniture to come in I have really only JUST started to feel at home.

With that said, here are some early snapshots of my new place! I still don't have a couch (hence the absence of a living room photo) but other than that I am so happy with how the rooms have turned out.

I hope you all love it as much as I do! I have an extra pretty post planned for tomorrow from my recent trip to the most beautiful Bed & Breakfast. I plan to jump right back in with blogging and will be posting more regularly now!

Currently Obsessed...

So I completely fell off the face of the earth for a while. I have been super busy planning for my new condo and getting things wrapped up before I head back to VA. My posts the next few weeks will be sporadic at best, but I will be trying to pop in as much as possible!

(clockwise from top left)

1. Bowtie Wine Charms- I have been on the hunt for housewares lately, scouring HomeGoods and TJ Maxx every chance I get. I found these wine charms today and couldn't resist. Ready to class up my glasses in my new house!

2. Living Room chairs- Another TJ Maxx find. My favorite colors to use while decorating are blues, so these chairs were perfect. I plan on pairing with a navy sofa and neutral walls.

3. Apothecary Jar- I have had this sitting around for a while and I didn't really know what to do with it. I needed something to store my headband collection in, and this totally fit the bill! I think this will look nice sitting atop my dresser instead of headbands messy in a drawer!

4. Sunglasses- Another Target dollar section find....this time for Lane. How cute are these (kid's) 4th of July themed sunglasses?

Tomorrow I plan on reviewing my June Birchbox. Can't wait to share with you all!

Summer Beauty Essentials

Even though I love warm weather and days by the pool, it can definitely be more of a hassle to wear makeup in the summer. I have found a bunch of great products that truly are essential to my summer beauty routine.

(clockwise from top left)

Clarisonic Mia- I seriously cannot go a single day without using my beloved clarisonic. If you are thinking about getting one, do it! My skin is baby soft. I use only once a day (at night to wash all the gunk from the day off) with a mild cleanser. I have the yellow but I think the orange is super cute for summer!
Sunblock- My go-to moisturizer doesn't have any sun protection in it, and this is my non-moisturizer supplement. It is REALLY light and non greasy. The SPF is high, but I am really fair and paranoid about skin protection. Who needs a tan (sun damage) when you can buy pretty bronzer?
Smashbox Primer- This color-correcting primer is great for a little bit of redness. They also have other hues for different issues you may have including dullness or dark spots. It is a little pricey, but the tube lasts a long time!
Mist and Fix- I bought this on a whim not really thinking it would do much, but it does a great job keeping makeup in place. Whether you are planning to go day to night without switching up your makeup or need some help in the summer heat, this stuff will definitely have you covered.
Essie Polish in Spaghetti Strap-I love this light pink hue for summer! I'm not much of a finger polish girl (I can never keep it looking nice for long!) but my toes are always covered.

Note: I buy most of my beauty products from Sephora (they have a great rewards program!). If you are interested at all in any of these products or anything else, they are offering 10% off TODAY with the code THRILL!. Time to stock up on summer faves!

Currently Obsessed...

Time for the 3rd edition of Currently Obsessed!

(Clockwise from top left)

1. Starbucks Shaken Green Tea (2 Splenda) and Cake Pops- This is my favorite weekend treat. If I am out and about and happen to pass by a Starbucks, I almost always pop in for this exact order. The green tea is super refreshing in the Florida heat and the pink cake pop makes me happy just looking at it. Yummy!
2. Lilly Pulitzer Colleen Romper- As soon as I tried this pretty on, I knew it was coming home with me. So cute and comfy and perfect for either lounging or running around town. I love that you could easily dress it up with some fun wedges or keep it casual with a pair of Jack Rogers!
3. Mason Jar Art Print from Old Try- As soon as I saw this print, I couldn't wait to buy it. I can't link up to the actual print today, because Old Try is actually CLOSED on Sunday. Call me old fashioned, but I think it is the coolest thing that they actually shut down their website to business on Sunday. Anyway, this little print is a sweet reminder of my childhood, and I already have my eye on a second print to hang side by side.
4. Nylabone Dog Toys- I know this is a bit of a wild card "obsession" and won't appeal to a lot of readers, but if you have a dog, you owe it to yourself and your pooch to purchase these toys. Most toys don't stand a chance to my dog's chewing habit (seriously, I might as well have given Lane dollar bills to chew on the way she would destroy a stuffed toy in 3 minutes flat), but these things sure do last! They make them in all shapes and sizes and trust me when I say they are all I buy for Lane these days.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Recipe Fun

One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is to browse Pinterest for fun and interesting recipes. Now that is it summer, I thought I would share one of my favorite summer recipes!

Key Lime anything is acceptable in Florida year-round, but this is a great summer recipe for anywhere. I've never described a cupcake as "refreshing" but the citrus and light texture of the cake and the frosting make this cupcake taste anything but heavy. Plus doesn't the vivid green make the prettiest picture?!

Thank you so much for all the great comments I have been getting. I appreciate them so much and they always make me smile! Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

Gettin' Crafty

I've had a few days off of work this week so I've been in kind of a crafty mood. I mentioned a few posts ago that I was going to make something yummy for memorial day, so I thought I'd share what I chose!

Burger cupcakes! They are VERY rich but extremely delicious. Next time I make these I will try to make the brownies a little thinner so they aren't so huge. I love that they look like real sliders on the platter!

Today I found some darling anchor tissue paper in the dollar section at Target (am I the only one that is seriously obsessed with that little area at Target?) so I decided I couldn't let it go to waste....

Tah Dah! Decoupaged mason jars perfect for 4th of July, or really whenever, just change the ribbon. I put a few red white and blue pinwheels I had laying around for the photo but I think they would look great with a little tea light in them or to hold silverware at a party. This is super easy, inexpensive project that is sure to make any table more festive. I can't wait to use them!
